 Already at a young age Barbara was interested in jewelry and fashion. As soon as she was old enough she enlisted for the goldsmith and jewelry education in Schoonhoven. After her graduation she left a year for the South of France where she worked at a goldsmith atelier in Antibes.
After working in the jewelry business several years for Ibink and Cartier in the PC Hooftstraat, she was asked to work for fashion brands like Chanel, Valentino and Ferragamo. All companies with great history and craftsmanship. But she missed working with precious materials, working for a smaller company and building long lasting client relationships. After meeting Marlies and Peter who are as passionate about jewelry as she is and when she saw their impressive collection, Barbara decided to go back to her old profession and joined MK Jewelry in 2009 first in de PC Hooftstraat and now in the Reestraat.
